I can't believe the early snow we got, it was warm and dusty 2 weeks ago in La porte where I ride. we made plans to go riding before it started snowing, well it snowed the night before we went riding, I didn't expect this much snow.
But what a great ride, I've never rode there in the snow, much less have I done much riding in the snow. It was a blast. If anybody wants to know where these trails are let me know, I have GPS coordinates for it we rode all day and only saw 3 people on quads. there are miles and miles of trails up here and you rarley see anyone else up there.
Well here are some pics, hope you enjoy them.http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid87/p57d3cc0ba4b500305ae04127d16e6dbf/faa67f7e

That looks pretty sweet. I'm in Modesto. How far away from Modesto is that place and where.

I just checked mapsend topo and it is 138 miles as the crow flies. it would probably be about a 200 mile one way trip! too far of a drive just to going riding unless you went for the weekend and spent a few days camping therIt is a great place to ride and camp, but it will be next summer before you go camping there again because of the snow.

If you have a wild hair and want to go up riding, get ahold of me, I never turn down a chance to go riding. I think I'll be going riding in the Auburn and Forrest Hill area over the winter months, I don't think that Auburn is as high up! it is around 5,500 ft where the pics where taken................

Pictures are great. If you guys are going for a ride to ForestHill let me know. I will get some more people to go with us.
We come still camp in the snow, you just need a toy hauler with a BIG HEATER in it.

I was riding last week East of Yosemite on the Fire Trails it is just off of Highway 132. On the other side of Highway 49 between Highway 120 & 140. We rode all day, went 75 miles, & only hit 5% of the trails up there. I will post the next time we go.

75 miles and only 5%? Holy shoot. That sounds like some cool trail riding. Are they fast trails?

The Top speed on the trip was 48 miles per hour Average speed for the trip 29 miles per hour. The only bad thing about a trip like this is the Gas. I had 3 Extra gals with me. We used 1 for the 3-wheeler that was with us. but when we got back to the trucks I was on Reserve and the other bike was about to hit it.
