well i blew up my banshee and am gonna rebuild it. i was wondering are wiseco pistons good? friends tell me id be better off getting stock pistons. but i think im either gonna get wiseco or vitos. which are better

Wiseco piston's are fine. Wiseco actually makes vito's piston just to his specs.

I'd get the wiseco's, forged is better then cast. People say that vito's aren't the best for any ported engines because they have shorter piston skirts. And when any ware occurs, the skirt will start crashing down on the exhuast port, the bam there goes the skirt.

First find out why your motor blew up.

Were you running lean? Are you running a pro flow, or some kind of clamp on air filter set up?

How many hr's, year's ect do you have on the motor?

I've used wiseco's in bikes snowmobiles ect, and they are much better then stock. But you need to make sure you allow the motor to have a thorough warmup before you start beating on it.

The piston to bore clearance on any forged piston is crucial. Make sure you have someone who know's what they are doing measure and bore your cylinders.

Next time mine comes apart, not sure what I'm gonna do this time in the piston department. Someone in harbor beach has a ported shee, and just installed some vito's power pistons. I'll see how his turns out and holds up. Right now I'm running ported wiseco's.

I have a set of wisecos that I have been trying to get rid of, they are brand new andill let them got for 90 bux shipped.

they are forged and are brand spanking new!
