Flattrack practice

Well I took my son out to the indoor practice track Sun. & all I can say is WOW!!!! There were about 5 or 6 Blasters out there & they were all the ones he raced against last year & they all beat him, weelllll DJ went out there & kicked some arse & took some #'s :eek: :D :D I don't know what happened to these kids over the summer but they acted scared out there!!!! It was quite funny actually, they all have chrome a arms, pretty plastics, LOL
He was rockin' the Blaster was dialed in!! He passed EVERY single one of them & his cousin(310R) had trouble catching & getting around him, he told DJ man your hard to pass!! The track was really rough so I think that may have been DJ's advantage cuz he's used to riding trails & rough tracks. We ran his turf tamers & what a difference between them & the flattracker tires, he'll be running turfs all season. I "syked" some of the people out w/ my quad hehehe I didn't run it but left it on the trailer & everyone was VERY interested where we picked it up, what it had in it, ect. I didn't ride cuz I pulled a muscle in my forearm the othr night so I wanted that to feel better cuz it was hard to hold on to my bars. Must be that *** whoopin horsepower LMFAO J/P I think this is going to be a good season for DJ, I hope he goes out there & shows them that he can do it!! Ok enough of me babbling YES I'm a PROUD Mother LOL:o

You should be proud! I'll bet that race put a big boost in his confidence, and the other riders are going... wtf!!! :devil:

maybe sneak out before future races and rut up the track for him... :D

Hey thats a good idea LTandRaptor rutting up the track LOL!!! Yeah it ef. boosted his confidence & it also helped that he held his cousin on his 31oR off hehehe. He wasn't too happy when he got that quad & of course he said Mom I want a 250R & I said ME TOO!!! But now he knows his blaster can do it & it's got LOTS more potential, it's only pumped to a 230 now we have lots of room to grow:macho WE do have a 250r motor we could throw in the blasty but I don't think they would let him run in the blaster class then.

QJ oh yes I'll be sure to post a race report on sun. morning! Yeah there's gonna be some major competition at our track in the womens class too, one of the gals that kicked arse for the last few years & dind't race last year IS BACK:eek2: she's a damn good rider & then there's the gal that took the class last year, talked to her Sun, she's getting a new motor in hers :blah: OH well it'll be some TOUGH racing I have a feeling:macho The arm is better I did put bengay on it, now I will be doing that before the race I'll probably need it too keep warm it's supposed to bein the low 30's BBUUUURRRRRR!!! I see they have bengay patches now maybe I could just get one big body one LMAO. Talk at ya later:cool:

Yep, the 250R motor would throw him out of the Blaster class. Heck, he don't need no stinkin 250R motor!! ;) Sound like he's a good rider, and his quad is set up good. Tell him to whup up on the competition for a while with the Blaster, then graduate to something bigger. The most important thing is to have fun, and it sounds like he does!

BenGay patches??? I didn't know that... I ummm... might have to try them out... As I knock on forty's door, I find the aches and pains hang around a little longer! :( Like you said, maybe a body suit of BenGay would work good! Boy would that smell, I'd be a walking rest home...

Yeah, when it's no longer fun, it's time for another hobby. I got out of quad riding for about five years for that reason. Then at the tender age of 35, I bought my LT250R and ran my first motocross race! Even my eyelids hurt for the next week!! The next year I broke my leg, so after rebuilding the quad last spring, I finally did a few more races. I was looking at getting a YFZ in a year or two, but I think I'm getting talked into a Moto440! I put over $4k in the LT last spring, all told I have over $10k in it, so I'm not anxious to sell it. I'd probably get about $4k for it! I aso have a Raptor that I hardly ride, so maybe I'll unload both and get the moto. I'm still a fan of 2-strokes, but they are more demanding to ride.

From your picture on here, you look a long way from 40! :) I have a little under 2 years before that nightmare, I'm not looking forward to it. :( I just thought of something, with so many people getting old, stock for BenGay should be doing great! :devil:

The Bengay remedy works great! Troy swears by it but he does prefer Icy Hot of one other sprorts cream better (I cant remember the name of it:o ) :)

Your LT sounds Nice!! A gal I race w/ she runs a sweet Lt thats all pumped up w/ fancy paint!! She's friggin FAST!!

But this past sunday I was able to get on a 1/8 mile oval dirt track with ma quad. No one else on the track either just me. Talk about fun...:eek2: I've never held either of my 400ex's in 5th gear for that long of time. I'd let off a little goin into the turn then 1/4 thru I'd crack it wide open again...:devil: Of course I had no TT tires or anything, this place was located next to the MX track I was at and the dude let me put in about 20 laps. I think i could get into TT bigtime but unforutantly there's no place around here to do it and also I don't have the time but it was alot of fun. I think i coulda give Shane Dog Hitt a run fer his money.... :devil: LOL

I think i coulda give Shane Dog Hitt a run fer his money.... :devil: LOL Rico, you mentioned there was no place to flattrack there...What about the one you just rode on?:confused: if there isnt alot fo those kind of tracks up there, then I bet you could spark enough interest to have a series..:macho alot of people think that this type of racing would be boring, but really, I think if more people were to try it, they wuold surprise them sleves that it IS alot of fun!:D Im finding that out with the MX too trynig different types of riding, only thing I havent really tired yet is woods racing lol. and I dont see that in my near future:p

I'm with you on that, I'm WAY younger in my mind! ;)

I'm pretty happy with my LT. I sent the cylinder to LRD, they did their kit on it, with the exhaust system, set me back about$1500! :eek2: About the only thing stock on the quad is the frame, and it's not doing too good. I can't find an aftermarket for it, I may get a new oem frame for it. I've been kicking around selling it and the Raptor and getting either a YFZ or Moto440. Decisions... decisions! Of course I may need to look for a new place to stay then... :eek:

Right On Rico!!! Always nice to hear about someone coming over to our side!! LOL yeah it's a rush when you get to just hold it wide open. Alot of people give us a hard time cuz we just go in circles but it is DEFINETLY a rush!!! Just think if you would of been all lowered w/ the right tires WHOOOO HOOOOO

IT's for dirtbikes only,,the old harleys used for flat track. No quad racin on the track at all...:(

YEP I'm talking about Mackenzie but she wasn't there last night so who knows. She is damn I love to watch her kick arse hehehe Chandra & I are the ones that got tangled up:p we both laughed about it afterwards cuz the gal on the 330 shoved Chandra over so after that she decided to give her a dose of her own medicine:eek: :cool: LOL Chandra is a really nice gal & not snobby at all. I like that, there's nothing I hate more than a snob on the track who thinks they are better or too good to talk to anyone:rolleyes:
