what kind of power should i expect out of my new motor

Ok my new motor is coming its a 460 stroker 13:1 piston, megacycle cam, oversized valves,full race porting, hardend rockers, valve springs, titanium retainers, and i have a edelbrock carb. what kind of power should i get out of this thing. do you think it will be pushing 50 horse. does any one else have a similar setup to compare to?

I'm pretty sure it will be close to 50!!! it should be in the 40's, But when your ready to go for a ride???? Hold on man!!

I would bet money on at least 50hp if jetted correctly. You are going to need a wheelie bar in the rear!!! Oh yeah, be sure you compensate for the power with hd clutch springs and maybe a stronger clutch basket. Good Luck!

I'm having him do the clutch too while the motor is apart. It wont be my full time motor but ill use it when i go to the sand dunes and stuff like that.
GtThunder is only about 45 minutes away so i might have to take it up and see what it does on there dyno. I saw somewhere on there website the highest hp engine they have dynoed on a 400 ex put out 50.9hp. I think it was a TC 450.
Anyways my engine buider hasnt gotten the crank and rod back from oregon yet.But I should have it in the next 4 to 6 weeks.
I'll let you know how it runs when i get it.

Mine is still in the shop getting mod mentioned below. With alcohol I'm hoping for 50+. Without alky maybe 45 or so. HOTTEX has a badboy, he might be able to enlighten you on what to expect.

cause there my secrets ;) naw just messn but with my 465 its ran great and has produced a enough power to kick but ....by this summer though i will stroke it and then see what power she reveals
