Nice track a little tight for me, but oh well. A little side note the 4 stroke c class was more competative than the 4 stroke a. Only 2 guys had more laps than me. Hmmm does this mean I am fast. YEAH RIGHT:devil:

I have a softball sized bruise on my elbow from flying over the bars and onto the rocks.

Yeah I think Harlen should get some credit here he walked almost a full lap out there taking these pictures and was at the finish line laughing at me when I got there.

Rick (465Stroker)I hope you are feeling better. Also did you need stitches? My elbow is freakishly huge right now. I would say about the size of a softball. Also I wasn't sure how to post pics here, but on Cannondaleriders I have a cool pic of you that my wife took. Sorry Harlen, but I stole a couple of your pics too.

Harlen- great photos and commentary! The photos make for some great flashbacks from the race. It's nice to be able to run with great riders on a challenging track only a couple hours from home. I'm looking forward to riding at Rausch during the week soon if the weather holds out. Thanks for the pics and the props!

I am actually feeling really good. Naa - I think I may get away with just bandages. Kinda bummed that I pulled off now now that I saw Matt got second - I know I was pretty far out ahead even after the wreck... Oh well - Thanks for asking.

Andy, it was good to see a new face in the A class. we had a great turn out Sunday... it was nice to meet u. I was following u the entire first lap and a lil of the 2nd. On the first lap my buddy Mark Carman got crossed up and u and I sat waiting for him to free it up for about 10 seconds... I remember rolling in behind u and yelling, come on Mark!!!! U turned around and gave me a look as if to say, who's Mark??? It was fun....

it was an awsome track. great pictures harlen.

it seemed like they took out all the big uphills and really bad rock sections. i thought the layout was great and with the track being 6 miles everyone does more laps. the only thing they need to work on at rausch is the scoring. for some guys it took 2 second and for others it took 2 mins.

Awesome pics and reporting Harlen. I 'll have to meet up with you someday. I am a born again racer after being gone for 12 years due to marriage and children. When I quit racing the 250X, the word Blackwater made everybody cringe. The guys racing now, never even heard of it! Quite a change in times. I raced a few district 7 races this year and was less than impressed. The turn out really blows. I race "B" or Vet and usually have less then 10 riders in each class, sometimes less than 5. I almost fell the hell over yesterday when I saw the turn out. I haven't seen a turn out like that since a GNCC in the early 90's. Anyway, you say you have other pics of people you don't know. I would like to see if you have any of a red 400 ex, DG bumper, #71 on front fender and back plate, red & black gear with grey Fox chest protector. I saw people taking pics throughout the track, I'm guessing you were one of them. I ended up 4th in the "B" class after wasting lots of time due to really stupid decisions. It looks like district 6 is the place to be if the turn out is even close to Sundays race. I really like going before the bikes. Do all district 6 races to that? That track was awesome.... I still hurt!... not too bad though! Does anyone know how to get the results of Sunday's race? thanks, Later, Doug

Admin
11-04-2003, 07:39 AM
Thanks Doug,

District 6 is the place to race for a large turnout of very competitive racers.

Also, the quads start before the bikes at all the tracks except the Foot of the Mountain.

I will look through my pictures and see if I can find the brown guy on a 400ex with a DG Bumper.

I will post the rest by Thursday Night.

Harlen

First, Thank you for the great pics. I saw you when u started to climb that tree and thought "That guy is dedicated". I was wondering if you got any pics of me. I am on a red 400EX with some goofy mudflaps on the front fenders and black rims. You cant miss them. If you have any, please post one.

Second, Will the results be posted? Once things were "straightened out" with the results, I got 3rd in 4 ST B. Just wonder if that is still correct.

Overall, I had a great day. The track was kinda rough. I lost half of my rear fender by the end and almost lost my skidplate. It was holding on with one bolt. A guy parked next to me snapped his front spindle on a 250R. And I saw Stefanie Kenney with a broken swingarm.

Thanks again

Hey any of you guys going to Foot of Mountain. in Neelyton Pa. this Sunday(11/16)? What kind of track is it there? Will I need traction and clearance(22x11 razr 2's) or speed(20x11 Razr's)? Is there jumps or strictly woods? I'm having this issue with my adjustable swingarm strut thingy. I like the rear being 3" lower especially with the big tires but if I jump it, the caliper hits the exhaust. I guess I'll set it set to drop the rear only 2" and see what that does. Later!

Its kinda funny that Heather won her class on her blaster, cause she absolutely hates racing there.

ex kid
01-02-2004, 08:35 AM
she said she didnt like to track because her blaster's pretty much setup for MX.

I was on my 250EX at that race. I had a bad start and was in last, then i passed the other dude and Heather and pulled about a 2 min. lead. about 1 mile before the checkpoint I got a flat and when i came out of the woods my pit crew was no where to be found so i took a DNF!

I'll be at the dutchman on the 8th. I'll be running the Z though. My rebuild took a detour waiting on parts. They'll be in by the next race, but not in time to set-up for this race.

YZ: you know you can register for both at the event. There may be a line, but it can be done.

I was at Pine Grove for one race in Sept and most of them in Oct.

Who is the guy that races the A class, pilots that red 2 stroke, hes got a summit front bumper and seems to always be in first place by 30 seconds....and he wins?

The name Jason kinda rings a bell. Seemed like hes always out front, followed by a couple YZF's and the guy on the predator that wears mostly black.

I am starting the season in C. The guy who wins all the races was running a YZF and his name is Chris Borich. He has an R too, but I don't think he ran it there at all. I know he ran a Z400 for a while and then the YZF. Ex Kid or JL would know better on the A class stuff.

you have to start out in the lowest class. you only move up if you have the points.

I just ordered
shocks(rebuilt mine)
38 mm carb port
new rims and tires all around
fixed my clutch
fixing exhaust

and some other stuff I forget about. It should be done in 2 weeks or so.

Killa - when we race you will know it, cause you wont see me:eek2:

Yeah most likely Iam 6,3 now almost taller then my brother mark.. Iam going on atken diet soo i can wrestle 185 and just smoke people iam undefeated now in 210 and heavy soo in 185 i would just own. I just rejetted my carb threw in a 152, got a new filter, shock wears, them works shocks i bought, new seat latch, fenders a few small things palmer ill race you in freeland anytime and you should see me at climbs now Iam almost as good or better then kaschak.. Palmer the highest class you can start at is b class you dont have to run c first. My friend greg with the banshee started in 2 stroke b soo iam pretty sure you can start in b class unless you wanna race with me in c class. But look at when you raced me how much more stuff you had done to your quad; you have porting and all that insh and i just have a 416 with a cam. Wait till i get my porting and fcr39milli carb Hah:devil:

Palmer my frist race at dutchman i was in first in c class for liek the whole time till i hit this tire that took me out pretty bad. Race b class I bet you will do as well or better then me there cause you have alot more riding experiance and the track is one of the easyest tracks to follow.
