my dad wrecked his 400ex in a hare scramble so we went to the honda and the said to get fly bars they are as strong as renthals but alot cheaper should he get fly or spend the extra money and get good ones

Spend the extra and get a good set of bars. Go with either Renthal,Tag or Pro Taper.

Do a search on "renthal" in the "For Sale" section I saw somone had a set 4-sale for like $45............

Tag T2 handlebars are the only ones to use in my book. They have last through some many tumbles.

i would get pro tapers thats what i have 7/8 they are strong:macho or tags those are good 2

I've been using 909 bars for 4 years. I like the feel of them and the bend plus it's not the same ole renthal bars that the other 99% of the off road community uses. I like to be different.


Fly bars are junk. They are by no means as strong as renthals.. I"ve seen lots of fly bars bend without a wreck invovled. I've also seen several break when landing jumps.

Here's what happened to wireds fly bars when landing a jump here in KY..

We went today and he got renthal 7/8 handlebars he paid just over 86.00 because thats what hes buddy has on his 400
