i was wondering what to look for. i know someone who is selling one and he said it comes with the jug and piston. is there anything else it needs or is that basically it?

Assuming it is a 440 big bore kit (not stroker), then yes, that's what you should recieve. How many hours are on the piston?

i would buy a new piston- JE - but other than that, it should be all right

That motor wasn't running very good if that is only 30 hours of run time. Replace the piston.

440 Kits sale for $170 on ebay Usually .Add around $100 to sleeve and bore and you can do yours for $270 and it will all be new.

save the money and buy new only. you cant be certain of anything used when it comes to internal engine parts.

dont buy a used jug, they can warp when being pressed out
