It shouldn't be. maybe you just need to adjust everything to where it fits.

I have put CR style levers on many differrent bikes(mainly to get rid of the parking brake). For some reason all of them have to be adjusted almost all the way out. I have put them on my 400's, friends 400's, Banshee's, 250r's. Even when my 400 was brand new and brand new cables were involved. I don't know if its me or has to do with the CR style lever. I had to adjust the adjustment on the perch and the one on the engine.

i have the magnum, or something???? ez-pull and ez-adjust. you have to advust at the motor, right side. tighten the cable all the way in at the lever end. then tighten the cable at the motor end.
then go back up to the lever and fine tune.
thats how i did it. took a good 30-45mins to get the pull righ.

I have installed several clutch levers/perches. What you need to do is take the cable out of the perch when you take it off, then at the motor, take it out of that little clip. When you install the perch, slide the cable into that, tighten everything up, then slide the cable back in the tab at the motor. It always worked for me.
