Expensive Dining !!! Whoaaa [Archive]

After 3 years of marriage to my beautiful wife, who went thru 16hrs of labor, changes crappy diapiers, cleans, cooks, *****es about me not changing diapers, who likes me racing and buiding quads to get out of her hair.

I decide she needs a night on the town for our anniversary. So we go to Smith & Wolinsky’s steak house.

Will after a couple drinks, we get the menu. Wham! $9.50 for a dinner salad, Wham $ 9.00 for a baked potato. Wham, wham, wham! Thought I was buying a new truck.

So I figure, having a 2 year old we don’t get out much so lets go all out.

Order our steaks etc etc, decide on splitting a 6LB lobster. Well after all said and done. The bill was $254.00. That dahm lobster was $135.00 alone.

My wife looks at me all smiles and chit, I thinking o ya. I am going to slap that *** tonight boy! She states to me “ I am glad you race, cause I it’s cheaper than us going out to eat.

Where can you find an understanding wife like that.

When we started dating I had an ATV in the garage, my drag car in the garage and then I went out and bought my TSi. That's good you guys went out like that, though. When kids are young like that it's tough to find "alone time" so it's great you got some time together and you really got to live it up for an evening.

I will go with the payment plan. How is $10 a week sound. At the end of the plan you can send the claws.

I had the wife convinced that a trip to the Famous Pat's Cheesesteak's was a great dinner and a night out at the same time.

For all the BS my ol' lady puts up with, I'm obligated to shell out at least one $100 dinner a month. For special occasions, rather than a $250 dinner, we'll do a $100 dinner and a $150 jacuzzi suite...

well, this weekend my fiance and I are going all out... going to see some play about Art Rooney (first owner of the Steelers) ($$$) and have reservations at Mortons Steakhouse downtown... (she got the tickets, I get the dinner... :( )

All and all, its worth it... she puts up with alot of my crap. :devil:

Its nice to go out for dinner once in awhile with the wife or GF and blow a wad of cash. We have a few around here that give great food and 1st class service for about 75-100 dollars total for the two of us.
