Im looking to sell the 400ex for something else, what would you recommend i was looking at the kfx, predator, and any of the cannondales. I cant buy anything new...what would you reccomend out of these or if you have any different suggestions? i was looking to buy something newer instead of putting money into my 400ex...which would need alot...thanks for the help. Also any info about the predator, kfx, cannondales such as problems and what not would be a help - thanks

Cannondale.

The z400 wont be much of a step up from the ex. The predators are kinda heavy and expensive and its also first year in production. Cannondales are great all around quads, alluminum frame, good handling, good power. Plus theyre also very cheap right now.

I have a predator! i would go with the predator cuz its hauls *** it flys its like being on a 250r with so much more torque the only things i dont like about it is the weird seating and its a little heavy to push around, but when driving it and jumping it you can not tell a thing, its the best quad for the buck because it comes with a dual rate rear, and realy good front shocks and a-arms, steel lines, and wave like rotors

The KFX/Z's are pretty nice. I rode my neighbors yesterday. The riding position on the 400EX is much better, but the KFX shifts so cleanly and smoothly. The power is predictable and tractable too.

how much faster is it then a 400ex ?

your gonna get the best bang for your buck with the dale, id get one, as long as you can handle the maintence, predators seem nice but they have problems

and a z 400 is fast with a pipe and stuff but uncomfrtable to ride, t hey feel like a tecate 4, id rather have a 400ex than a z 400 but the z has more motor modded

Eh, I haven't ridden a stock EX in a while, but it was definitely less HP than my 440EX. Probably more top end than my 400 prior to the 440 kit, but the low end on the 400EX was better. My 440 has a Wiseco 11.5:1 440 bore kit (running 2 head gaskets though), WB 10.5K RPM CDI, FMF PCIV silencer, no airbox lid, K&N filter.

LOL I was just about to say that. Pred's are not like R's at all. They are way heavier. I think they are kinda ugly too.

Go for a Dale.

the dales are absolutley bullet proof, maintence is just like on any other quad, just a little more frequent oil changes.

contact jeff@quadshop on here or call him at 1-502-243-0193 he is a dale genius and you will want one before your off the phone
