the guys that got it were pretty stoked so i was happy... im never happy until the customer is happy because you never know if they will be or not..... everyones different

bad part is the 4 wheeler guys always get the shaft-ola ... machines cost more. the parts cost more. they are harder to work on. they are heavier. more expensive to ride and last but not least... the ramps cost more.

i cut this dude a deal cuz he bought two ramps from me... but if i were to rebuild this identical ramp it would run about $2350 .... but thats with a split. i dont recommend a split cuz its costly, a pain, and its usually not even needed, especially for a ramp of this weight. so i would knock off $100 bucks... so it would be $2250 for a 6 footer,.. that still includes wheels, dolly, and folding entrance transitional piece. everything less you want i keep wackin' off dolla's ...

just curious
do you build ramps and sell them. just wondering if your selling rev 3's and if you cleared that with fmxramps.com if not i dont think they would be to happy with you selling there product. not tryin to be an arse just lookin out for a fellow ramp rider

that is a sick ramp...i would love to buy one off of you, but not quite that big, cause i dont really have anywhere to go with it besides my yard...maybe something like 5 tall, and six wide, you can figure out length, cause it seems like you got that down pact..could you give me any pricing of what that would cost?

yeah that raises a good question, does rick kinda tell you to stay away from side views of the ramps? theres not any pics on the site and the only time i have seen a side view was one time i saw rick post a pic of the side from the manual onto mtx.

nah.. he never really said anything about that. the only thing about a ramp that cant be copied by site is the final angle. theres no real way to test it, i mean you can put the pic in a cad but it will never be for sure, the only real way is to actually have it in front of you and measure it.

and shift.... thats not anywhere close to a superkicker angle.all rams appear steaper when viewed from the front. my one ramp has a 42.5 degree angle to it and it looks like a wall from the front view

that was seriously screwed up

how do you figure out all the lengths of every thing. like if you have a ramp 5 ft tall do you times that by three and that is how you get your length. And how do you make the bends of the metal.

Jason1
12-08-2003, 07:11 PM
all in experiance my boy.

Juggalo
12-08-2003, 09:14 PM
jason i think what hes trying to ask is if theres a general rule of thumb that connects ramp height with ramp length. for instance (i'm just pullin this outta my ase) a ramp should be twice as long as it is tall.

Jason1
12-08-2003, 10:13 PM
alrighty.

well , actually no, there is no rule of thumb. at least none that anyone has informed me about. its all about its heighth and the angle you want. i then work backwards to get the length. at least thats how i do'r. everyone else probably uses a CAD.. i have my reasons not to use a CAD... long story.

Jason1
12-08-2003, 10:14 PM
i didnt see your one part there.

i bend my rails by cutting, flexing, then rewelding them

hondarider27
12-10-2003, 06:31 PM
thats cool. i am going to try and build one. i just wanna make sure i do it right, i don't want it to fall apart or look like crap. i build metal stuff all the time so i think i can do it. i just don't want to screw up and wast a bunch of time and money. do you have any jig or any thing else you use besides a torch.

see i don't know what i am doing. i want to make it 6' tall but i don't no what would be a good degree to use. what about like 43. will that shoot me up a lil.

Jason1
12-18-2003, 06:43 PM
43 is pretty steep for such a short ramp. i would reccommend taming it out some, unless you make it taller

ralphalfa
12-18-2003, 07:02 PM
jason.... this may seem like a stupid question, but how do you figure out where to put your landing? when you build a ramp, do you already have some kind of idea how far/high it will throw you? just curious

hondarider27
12-18-2003, 09:55 PM
so what maybe 38, 40.

Jason1
12-18-2003, 10:36 PM
ralph

i know by the size and angle of the ramp what kind of a landing to have, but its not as complicated as that though. we always push them in and back them off as we jump them to get use to it, so there is no real set distance just recommended sweet spots. nothing wrong with being safe.

honda, i would definately say something more like 38 , its safer that way.

just my opinion

hondarider27
12-18-2003, 11:24 PM
that will help alot. will that still give me a lil pop while i come up off it.

Jason1
12-19-2003, 02:55 PM
for that height of a ramp at that angle youll still definately pop

hondarider27
12-19-2003, 05:43 PM
now i just need to figure out the length of the thing. how do you do it.
