Ran a Piped Raptor at Rockingham Dragway last night. My e/t's 60ft--1.730 330ft--5.181 1/8 mile (660ft) --8.271 at 77.52 mph 1000ft--11.136 1/4 mile (1320 ft)--13.750 at 83.67 mph

Raptor--
60ft--2.50 330ft--6.47 1/8 mile (660ft)--10.468 at 64.32 mph 1000ft--13.873 1/4 mile (1320 ft) --16.94 at 71.63 mph

The 660 is not setup for asphalt as I am however and did pretty good for a mostly stock quad

Thanks Mark. I let the Raptor owner make a pass and he said "thats the fastest quad I have been on". I have a 4" stretch with marvin Shaw drag shocks and the front doesn't raise up more than 3" or so. I am only running a Yoshimura slip on pipe with stock headpipe. Next plans for Sparks X6 should put in in high 7's in 660ft. Coupled with planned Sparks 465 bore will def. put it there. I got tired of woods riding and enjoy going track to track Testing and Tuning--it was getting faster every week:huh . Numerous 8.40 passes with low of 8.24 so far this season.

Also, the high rev cdi box was good for 5 mph on top end as verified by 1/4 mile radar. Some guys say it wont increase top speed:p

Mike have you checked into making your bike an automatic? The Banshees and a couple of R's have them and they really work well. A friend on a Banshee at our local strip run a best of 7.9 and then went auto and hasrun a 7.4 best with a 7.6 average.

yea man the automatic would improve times with needed consistensy in drag racing. and you cant out shift an automatic, that would be something worth looking into. PLUS if its got a torque converter the launches you would get from that would be crazy.

I am not real familar with an 'automatic" I do know of an over ride tranny mod that requires no clutch to shift. Some run the Holshot electric shift--this cuts the spark momentarlly and allows upshifts under load w/o problems.

Yeah thats it . Use the clutch to take off and then just shift with the throttle pinned. They just recut the gears so they slide together but you can't let off the throttle without clutching it. We got a guy here that does them for half of what the big shops are getting. If you want to go fast in a straightline it's real nice.
