I plan to get a new bike for either x-mas or soon there after because my Haro has about had it (cracked frame, bent rims, etc...). I want to start riding flatland because where we used to ride, the man moved out and the new people wont let us. Im about 6'-6'1" and weigh about 165. I want either a Red Line, Haro or Schwinn. What model would you recomend for flat land? thanks in advance for any help! later

im riding an all stock schwinn hydromatic comp for flatland. great bike. lightweight, great balance, just an all around amazing bike. im 14 and 150lbs-so flatland came a little easier to me vs. the big guys. we usually ride mall parking lots when they close. noone bothers us usually.

I'll sell you my Huffy Stu Thompson that's about 15 years old. Stu was a stud, if it was good enough for him it's good enough for you:bandit:

id definately check out specialized bicycles they are top grade and awesome performers. They cost slightly more than the average haro but they are worth it in every sense

hEre is a nice example, left hand drive crank, smaller tooth sprocket, larger chain, everything a street rider can want all stock...http://www.specialized.com/BMXFrames.jsp?my=2004&JServSessionIdroot=6nfue8dxvl.j27006&san=04FuseIII

i used to be a huge bmx racer and i rode this for 2 seasons straight with 0 problems ever...http://www.specialized.com/BMXFrames.jsp?my=2002&san=02HemiComp

I had the original Stu Thompson that was red with spoke wheels. My brother still has his Stu, though. He's got the later one with a chrome frame and the white mag wheels.

Kicken250x, You should check out the Haro 540 flatlander. Its much lighter then the old Haro BMX's. I think the retail is $340 .

If I was still into bikes, that would be my choice!

well im not too sure schwinn still makes a hydromatic comp model, but they do have a standard hydromatic. i have an '02 hydro comp in red. from what i can see, they only come in black now. here's a pic.

Like ScrnNmsSUCK said, check out Dan's Competition. They have specials all the time, you could get a really nice bike for a reasonable price.

For old school, I have a '85 Redline RL20-II with Flight cranks. I don't ride it though, because the last time I rode it, I broke the crank spindle, and it took a while to find a replacement.
I also have a '88 Dyno Pro Compe Team model. It is a pretty good flatland bike too, but the old school bikes are weak.

For a new bike, I have a Redline Slant. It is about 7 pounds heavier than the old bikes, but it has some heavy duty components on it.
