Getting ready for the ice/snow

Here is what I did for a little extra traction for this winter. There are 80 screws per tire, but I only did the rear ones. Not enough tread to do the fronts. I have only rode on them 1 time, and they seem to work great for little 1/4" ruffing screws!

we dont get much snow here so that sure looks cool and like fun,Ive got a set of those tires that Ive never really used....maybe I'll stud them for the 3-4 days of snow we get each year haha:rolleyes: :D

we usualy get snow here from early october all the way into april, but it didn't snow until almost the end of october this year. I think I should have used smaller screws though, cause one came out and now I have a flat.....oh well, better traction when the tire is flat:rolleyes: :D

I put about 250 cold cutters in each rear tire and about 100 per front tire for my winter tires. I only ride on ice though no snow.

yeah, thats not all that many screws in your tires. For drag racing I usually have 250 screws in each tire in the back and 50 in each front tire.-darren

I used to put about 50 it the fronts then I had a little accident. I was racing a snowmobile from a 3rd gear roll. I took him till he started going faster than what I topped out at (which was 74/5) according to 3 snowmobiles that I've done a test against. Well he was on the inside and a pretty sharp curve was coming up and he couldn't make it which in turn pushed me out into the snow on the river. Well I couldn't grab traction for the life of me and ended up hitting a stump going about 70mph. Wasn't bad didn't bend anything only thing that was broke was my rear tire with some nice wood chips coming out of it. I was fine but now I put a few more studs in each tire hoping next time I can catch some more traction.
