How can I tell if my flywheel has been lightened?

With a 250R, obviously it's used, and could possibly have modifications that I'm not aware of.

So how do I tell if my flywheel has been lightened? Will it have machine marks? Do different companies do it differently?

I would probably just weigh it with an electronic scale that will measure grams. I'm sure someone on here, or on Macdizzy could tell you how much a stock one of the same year weighs.

I just weighed mine and it is about 2.7 - 2.9lbs

Mp racing said that they lighten their flywheels by about 1/2lbs.
