jetting question

I know you guys get alot of these,but i didnt seem to find an answer to my particular question in here.
2001 400ex,i purchased an lrd pipe (shortened to about 8.5 inches),with head pipe,i will be installing it next week-hopefully. my motor is completely stock.what jetting should i use?and do i need to change the plug,if so,which do you guys recommend.i will also be getting a k&n filter w/outerwear....thanks

i would start around a 155 main. a 42 pilot or so seems to work good for most people. depending on your altitude and temperatures, the jetting may vary a bit. i probally wouldn't go higher than a 158 even in the winter.

thanks cals400ex,that seems like a good place to start.i live in houston,so them temp and humidity should play a factor on this.atleast i have a good starting point....thanks
