I know the first question everone will ask is why????

Because in the class I race in, 300cc is the limit. So i want a 400ex type chassis for better handling. Plus I'm tall and the 300ex chassis is killing me. Another plus it I think it would make and awsome honda trail quad with reverse.

So, does anyone know where to get the motor mounts? Or any mods to the frame that will have to be done?

I'm looking for a 400ex rolling chassis with +2 A-arms +1 1/4 swinger and ajustable axle. No front shocks needed.

Good idea if you are serrious about staying in that class and stuff, but you would probally have to make the motor mounts youself for the frame.... Ryan

make sure that frame is legal! 350 is the limit in my class(sport, gncc) but uses pro production rules

it sure can be raced, no rules on it for GNC. Now if you are 14 or 15 it would not qualify for the Youth production class, but i think your older than that lol so you will be fine in ama and outlaw tracks

It will be mostly used as my trail quad and some MX races and maybe I'll let the girl friend run it at a couple mx races in the womens class. The rules for the series in which I race in (neatv-mx) are just for CC limit anything else is ok. There was two guys in my class all year that ran after market 400ex chassis' with blaster motors including the points champ.

What do you think I can get my 300 without the motor and electronics?

when i went to southwick i saw a yellow 400ex with blaster motor. Looks like you can do it do me. Throw a 350x engine in.

yea I know him, he's in my class. You must have seen me I was on the black 300 #69.

The only problem with the 350X motor is no reverse. That is the main reason I want to stay with the 300ex motor. If reverse wasn't an issue then I would just get a 400.
