That I would think would be a steal!! Just don't let them turn your back while loading it up or you might just end up with an overpriced 03' EX. :)

The question is: Is tax included...are you one, buying this atv out of state for 5799 out the door and then when you get it registered paying tax...or two, are you tax exempt for any reason, farmer, etc...?

I am getting mine for $5,999 but tax isn't included. I didn't think this was a bad price but let me know some more info about your 5799.

still getting it for 6 grand is 500 dollars off retail. i would pay 6 grand easy. that will give me some more money to spend on aftermarket parts for the quad. yea i know i will have to pay tax on it and that part really sucks. i hate taxes but who like then. i dont believe anyone does.

If you guys wanna cheap 450R, Check for a honda dealer in Petersburg WV. I heard they were selling their 450R's for around 5,700. A buddy of mine just bought a 400ex there for 4,400 out the door!

Spoke with my dealer today. I have the option of putting $500 down for the second one they get (probably in late Nov to Dec). Price is $6936.25 OTD. I really want to, but can't decide. I can get a DVX400 (Z400) locally for much less, and since I will mostly trail ride, might be a better choice. But then again, the last quad I had was an '87 TRX250R and I loved it, nothing compares (except maybe the new 450R from what I hear). Decisions decisions...what do you all think?

that is about what i am looking to spend on mine once i get it because i will need a arms and shock plus nerf barfs, handlebars, brake lines, clutch lever, axle, carrier (well keeping my figers crossed that they will fit), and a few other odd ball things that i want to do. i want it to look good so i like chrome, it SHINES! i agree with the supply and demand.

That is $5799 otd no tax b/c out of state, and no tax in ok b/c no registration is req'd. They only want a $100 deposit too. I think I will jump on this one.

Yeah thats a good price. Mine is gonna be 5999 + for a total of 6835 w/ extended warranty.:)

Other dealer I called, whom I have done lots of business in the past, said I was STUPID for even calling him and not jumping at the 5999 price!!!

? Does anyone here know of a place on the west coast that would give a good price for a new R. Actually, 3 of them! I'm in LA but would be willing to drive considerably to save a few grand on 3. Not to the mid west though unless the trip was REALLY worth it. Thanks for your input!!

I'm looking for 3, possibly 4 also. I would be interested in a good deal and I'm in Utah. I have heard that the small towns in Nevada usually do pretty good.

I will pay dealer cost + tax and get the 1st one. I work at a dealership part time that is the perk to mopping the floors and getting paid peanuts. HAHAHAHAHAHA

Winnemucca is one I've heard of, but not sure. I'm going to do a little research when the time gets closer.
I went to a local Honda dealer today and they said they won't budge off retail. They have four people on the list, so there won't even be one available until February or March. I'm definitely not paying retail, I can get another YFZ for less than that.

I here ya! I'm sure we will be able to find a place that would give some kind of discount for buying more than 1. I too will be waiting until about march to get them. Keep in touch and let me know what you find! I will do the same!

Sounds good, I may be coming down that way with some buddies to do some riding next month. Riding somewhere on the 909 if that means anything to you.

I'm not familiar with the 909. I just moved to LA from Portland not too long ago. As far as going riding (If that was an invite) sadly I won't be doing any of that until I get the R. I got lucky and sold the EX for top dollar before I left. But thanks anyway!!

Well, that's too bad, we'll have fun without ya. LOL We may only make it to Nevada, not sure if it's worth the extra drive to So. Cal.
