I found a gold nugget the size of a chewed up chicklet, walking to school in the morning. It was laying in the sand on the shoulder of the road in Middleton Idaho. I still have it to this day. I had it made into a pendant.

Damn, all I found was dust in the cold air returns:cuss:

Actually, there were some homemade wrenches left here (the old man worked in the fab shop at Timken Roller Bearing here in Canton). Left an old Detroit Jewel stove here that sells for $12,000 refurbed and a old peanut butter jar full of nails:D

up where my new house is there is an old stone farmhouse. around 1990 or so a couple bought the place to re build it. they worked all summer on it and started replacing windows....one window was removed and there was a burlap sack hidden in there...full of gold pieces!!! it must have been worth some $$$ because they never finished the house:eek2:

My buddy just bought a turn-of-the-century home (built in 1898) and on the first floor is a safe on the floor built into the wall. Nobody knows the combo and we're afraid to drill it. If we drill it and find something valuble inside it would be worth it but we're afraid to drill a 100+ year old safe to find it's been cleaned out for 75 years.

Down by my friends, dads wharehouse downtown, we went into an old abandoned building next door, and It was just as someone woulda left it for a weekend, but everything was like 50+ years old. Kinda scarey, there were old soft drinks still on the desks.

acutally, the COOLEST thing i have ever found was a part of a Union officer's sabre while mountain biking near Yorktown.

i donated it to the Keeper of Records on Ft Monroe in Norfolk. i dunno if it's on display or not :(

My buddy is going to get one of the old timer's at work who can pick locks by listening to the tumblers drop. Being a very old lock it shouldn't be too hard since they were so noisy. I tried doing it but I'm not good enough to get it to crack:(

I found an old green bottle with a letter in it near an old deerstand i had by the ohio river a few years ago. The stand is about 300 yards from the river so i gues it floated up when the river was way up at one time or another. I uncorked it and the letter was written like 12 years ago and it said God loves me..:eek2:
