I've got a 75 HP chip for my F250 that I have not installed yet, because it is programed for a year older truck & needs to be reprogramed before it will work. I've driven a few with the same chip and it realy wakes them up. I might buy a Bully Dog adjustable chip or reprogram my stock computer instead of installing the chip that I have tho

For the Cummins in the Ram do not waste the $$ on a chip. Find someone who knows how to crank the turbo, and the pump up. I used to work @ Cummins and remember hearing that the smaller of the 2 Ram engines can be made to put out close to 100 more HP by doing this. The larger engine didn't have quite as impresive of a HP gain, but if I remember correctly it was around 75HP.

Nuttynewt MIGHT be able to help you. I'm prety sure that he still works at Cummins and might ask around to find out exactly what you need to do to realy crank the power out of your engine.

Do you have an auto or manual trans? The autos are tuned down a little bit depending on the year. You need to check out a place called Janetti racing (that's not the right spelling, I'll get the website from my buddy tomorrow). They do alot with the Cummins. My buddies Cummins has a 4" turbo back exhaust, chip, opened air box with k&n (sounds like a quad huh) and larger injectors. That thing is EXTREMELY impressive.

BTW, if you have a manual, you will need to upgrade the clutch once you start uping the power. The stocker can't handle it.

Oh ya, forgot about mine.:D But it's not a Cummins.
I got a 7.3 Power Stroke with a 60hp chip and 4" turbo back exhaust. My 33' fifth wheel toy hauler weighs in at 11,000 lbs fully loaded with quads and gear. I cruise down the hiway at 75 with no problem. Although it has enough power, I don't really care to go faster. It would be ugly trying to stop that load in a pucker situation at 75 let alone anything faster.

I have a JET Performance chip in my Dakota with the 5.2L V8. I added it at the same time as my K&N and dual exhaust, but noticed a big difference with all. JIM

There is no where to put a chip in your dodge! you have a 12 valve cummins which doesnt have a computer. My dad has a 97 12 valve. Last weekend we put a fuel calibration plate and turned the boost up about 3 or 4 pounds on it with a kit from BD performance. My buddy works at Diesel Injection service here in louisville he got us the kit. It took the truck from 180hp and 420 ft. pounds of torque, to 250hp and 635 ft. pounds of torque, HUGE DIFFERENCE!! With an automatic tranny you are kinda limited to the power you add because the stock trannys are weak. Let me know if you are interested in the kit and ill give you a phone #.

Have bigger injectors put in and that will give 90hp, that is what i done, and have cam plate removed another 35 hp and then have the pumped turne a bit and that will add diff amount of hp depending on how much you turn it, trust me you do all this and teh cars behind you will love not beign able to see where they are going because of all the black smoke you just rolled all over thier cars, its great I LOVE doing it:D
