I want to know what kind of motor oil to run in my 400ex. I didn't get a owners manual when I got it so I came here. If mods matter, It is bored over .040, has wiseco 11:1 piston, and stage to hotcams, and full exhaust. Thanks!

you can run a 10w40 that does not have friction modifiers in it and is wet clutch compatable.. you can also run a synthetic we run the amsoil 4stroke motor oil synthetic,

i would run 20-50 if you live in florida. it gets hot and very humid here so that will help oil stay thicker.the best oil i found is HP4 20-50. (honda oil)

Me too. No slipping clutch here and noticably more quiet valve train when the oil gets hot!
