Renthal Install...

Hi, just put a set of Renthal bars on the rig (03 400ex).....Quick question. The card that came with the bars said there should be a slight gap between the clamps when they are fully seated...I cranked the bolts all the way down and the bars feel tight but there is no gap...Instructions say to grind off some metal from the clamps...is that necassary or should they just bolt right on no prob..?? Also what is up with that grip cement stuff...the place where I bought it put the price sticker over the instructions...can't get the grips to set up they keep on spinning on the nars!!

I bought my quad used with Renthals already installed and there is no gap either. I haven't had a prblem with them moving. As long as there isn't any movement there probably wont be a problem unless you're riding really hard and landing hard.

There is a huge thread in the Body forum I think about getting grips to stay on. Many ideas to choose from. I like the safety wire.
