I know of one other person besides me that is having problems with my 300ex gearing....

sometimes when I am riding I will go to shift from 1st into 2nd, and it will catch neutral, and stick in it, so I rev it sky high and thrust myslef over the bars because I was ready for the pull of the quad to sit me in my seat (tell me if that makes sense) :p

anyways, say it is still sorta revving, or the rev is decreasing from that inncodent, then I shift up into 2nd only to hear a loud bang, crack or pop, from the tranny.....to me that isnt to swell, and not only is it starting to piss me off but also its happening more frequently.....

It is very teeth clenching, and I am afraid something is just going to go, any help or sudgestions?:huh

the teeth on the gears are getting chewed up. when you shift into 2nd just bang it in there.....pull up as far as itll go.

is there a way to prevent this, how much to fix?

once I fix this if I do, how do I prevent from happening again?

A bent shift fork will also cause this.

This seems to be common with the 250x/300ex's.:(
