I am wanting to put a 416 or a 426 in my 400ex what one should i put in it is going to be for the woods so can you tell me the best setup. What cam and piston should i use in it.

welcome to the site.
i really like my 425. it flat out rips everywhere from bottom to top. I have no problem smokin raptors. its usually anywhere from 6 to 10 lengths in a 300 drag. as for overheating issues, i got some scoops and an aversized oil tank, and my oil guage hardly ever hits 210

If you ever need to bore larger without wanting to spend some $ on a big bore, i would do the 416, but I did a 426 to force myself yo setup to a 440 big bore stroked to a 465 when I do my next rebuild. As far as power difference Ill se what my 426 does against my buddies 416's
416 for sure...save as many bores as u can

if all other variables (cam..compression etc) are the same there should be very little difference in power between the 416 and a 425/426.
