I just put a new wiesco 11:1 comp. piston in there, you'll need to break it in, it will also have a brand new hot cams stage 2, brand new FDO heavy duty studs

I purchased this motor for 1200 over the summer, then just purchased the new piston and h.d. studs, this is a strong motor, I am selling because I purchased a decked out baldwin 440 motor

looking to get $1200 back for it for it

I can also sell a stock carb and electrical system with it for another $125

the head was silicone bead blasted, this thing looks like new, will also have new valve seals, and the valves will be seated and adjusted

i have a quick question i am looking for a motor for a 400ex that i just bought i want something that has more power that stock yet is still reliable i was wondering what exactly comes with your motor that you ahve for sale and whats been done to it.... you will have to forgive me but i am new to 400ex quads and i dont know "exactly" what a 426 is ........is it a 400 cc motor that was stroked??????????????? or is it a 400cc motor that has beeen bored or has it been bored and stroked i am very interested please let me know asap

it has been bored out to a 426,

on modded motors the stock studs will usually pull out and you'll end up blowing a head gasket, I have just gotten heavy duty studs put in which will prevent this from happening

it will also have a new weisco piston and a new hot cam stage 2, this is a drop in cam, which means no other modifications are necessary for it to work good

I could also get it shipped to you for around $50 depending on where you live

What's up? I like that new plastic you got, looks awesome:mad: Have you been racing with stock a arms up to now? You'll have to get new shocks when you get your new set up, right ? So you will sell your old ones for how much?:D I'm surprised you haven't sold the engine yet.

actually I've been racing on burgard +2s for most of the year with the TCS shocks, they've both been sold and now I'm waiting to find a nice long travel front end :devil:

I'm surprised it hasn't sold yet either....once i get it all together i'll see how it goes on ebay

Those studs look so beefy, after seeing those I have to send my motor into FDO and have them installed, they have to almost be an 1/16 inch thicker.

Bump. This motor was done right.

yes these studs are really tough, the lower threads are them were significantly bigger than stock

They make the studs Sparks uses look bad. What did you have to do to install them, did you buy them from FDO and install them yourself or did you have them install them.

I sent my head out to FDO to get tapped and I torqued the studs in myself

if i bought this engine and it was shipped would all i have to do is put it together throw it in my frame hook everything up and ride? or will i have to buy other parts to compensate for this new engine? how reliable is it i dont want to run it and blow something either? also is it a more bottom end, mid range, or top end motor? thank you.

all you'd need to do is bolt it on, break it in, then ride hard. You will not need to buy anything else but I would recommend a set of Tinner's air scoops to keep it a little on the cooler side. It is very reliable and you won't have any problems unless you dont break it in or something stupid like that.

The motor has a strong bottom end and will pull hard, top end isn't bad either

the top engine piece has been polished and the intake has been polished as well, the valves have been lapped and the valve seals are in...this motors getting very close to getting bolted together
