They are not as long as GNCC races. 3 laps usually. You'll run right at 2 hours or less if you stay with the lead lap. No womens class though...:( Normally less than 170 riders total for all quad classes. Small compared to GNCC but lots of fun and the trails are usually pretty tight. :macho

kim its very comparable to what we an at casey, lots of tight woods...actually the one in IUKA miss. was easier than casey...more wide open. Most have a few big hills, but nothing that you will flip on.

I will be there in the 25+ B.

The mid south races are setup a little better than Casey in my opinion.

The tracks are usually longer and they have an electronic scoring system which is nice, and there are also more classes to choose from to even the field a bit.

They are much tighter than nationals though.

Hopefully I can get my YFZ dialed in so I can start winning some races!

See ya all down there

I'll be there 25+ C. I'm gradually getting better every race! I heard the track was going to be tough .They are going to run the track backwards from last year I think

I've heard there will be some tough down-hills. The track is usually pretty tight.

Hopw to see some of you there.

Bradley is coming up to Haspin for the team race. Rico, if you don't end up going down to Tenn, come up to the race with us on Saturday. I think everyone has a partner already, but I think they will let you run the whole 3 hours by yourself :macho

Well guys i decided to skip the 8 hours of driving by myself on sunday so I slapped on the MX tires and went to a much closer track and jumped for a few hours. How did the race go?? Who won, who wrecked, details...

WOOLIN
11-03-2003, 06:42 AM
I got 6th in c+25, John got 7th in pro 8th overall, Brian got 1st 13th overall and Jeremy was leading A class when he locked up his motor. Brian's motor is toast too, but he still won. Scott Summers won pro bike by a couple of minutes.

how was the course?

dhines
11-03-2003, 09:31 AM
The course was rough and fairly technical. I DNF'd after losing my rear brake pedal and continually throwing my chain. What finally did me in was when I had to hit the eject button after getting to the top of one of the many steep hills and losing the chain. I immediately started going backwards (the front brakes didn't even begin to hold it) and had to bail and roll down the hill beside my machine.

Time for a little maintenance...

what happened with jeremy and brian's motors?

cdalejef
11-03-2003, 10:59 AM
Brian's is smoking and making all kinds of noise and Jeremy's I think is something simple.

everything was working fine on mine...then it made a funny noise and locked...then it would just click...brians looked like it was smoking bad when he came by me the last lap...as I sat in the woods (till after dark):grr:

11-03-2003, 11:09 AM
dont worry jeremy, i know all about sitiing in the woods.

my first dnf was at a mid-south, i thought my battery was dead when i tried to restart it ( i stalled it), then it wouldnt shift, so i thought my tranny was ruined. got it towed out, john drained the oil and realized i had the reverse lever up. i could have finshed the race!

i just went down hill from there

I ran 9th in 25+ C most of the race, got off course where you crossed a logging road and got back on course about a mile back. Cost me several minutes and wound up 15. I was having my best race yet(considering this was only my 4th race ever) till I got off course.
