well, i dont think works can touch ohlins in the quailty/craftsmanship department. dont know much else about either tho.

are you sure the ohlins are a single rate? they may look like a single rate but aren't because ohlins uses a progressivly wound spring. i think even if they were single rates i'd take em over works. i have works triples with cans but i have felt ohlins and their reaaaaly nice.

I have had both, the ohlin's are wayyyy better. They have a smoother ride and much better bottoming resistence. They have a very positive feel to them, it is hard to discribe.

I have had plenty of time on both. At first the ohlin's feel harsh but once you get used to them you can ride much faster. Oh, and that harsh feeling, hop back on some stock suspension and feel the difference. The ohlin's ain't harsh at all.

I have triple rate Works and my brother has triple rate PEP, seems like the Works are a good trail riding shock, but for MX theyare bottoming out and thats valves for a 180 rider and Im 125.

Get Ohlin's. I had a set on my EX for a few months till it blew up. And i'm getting another set for my new one soon. If you have the money, get the Triple rate with ZPS. They IMO are the best shock I've ever riddin on.
