stator output 400ex [Archive]

Does anyone know what wattage the stock stator is rated at? I was thinking about running an electric shield for river riding this winter, but I don't know if it can handle that. I'm not sure what a shield draws, but I don't think it would be that much. Anyone? Anyone?

147 watts @ 5000 rpm. I'm not sure on what the load is on it with the stock set up though. Meaning I don't know how much more load you can put on it without causing it to get burned out.

What is this heat shield you are talking about?

It's an electric face shield on your helmet, to melt off the frost. I won't snowmobile without one anymore, so it makes sense to use one on the river with the ATV also, if it will work OK. When it gets really cold, even the goggles frost up, just from the moisture evaporating from your skin.
