i am looking at getting a 265 powervalve this winter and i am undecided on which one to get. i am looking at a pc2000, esr pv, lrd pv, etc. i was wondering if anyone has compared the esr to other 265 powervalve cylinders. right now i have a 261cc national lrd motor with a esr trx5 pipe and and 38mm carb and it definetely pull very nice but i think i need to step up to a powervalve this winter. i was wondering which one was the best kit for them money?

esr would definetly be the cheapest. I would say lrd would be the best, they do some killer stuff to stock cylinders and make them pull serios power. they all use the same cylinder just the porting is different. Esr ones might include a cool head, doubt one from lrd would. I've never heard much good about duncan racing.

Esr is the only real choice for the money. The pv kits they have come with a billet head, 2 domes with options for race or reg gas, and low-mid or mid-high designs. Also comes with billet water neck, gaskets, piston, and lock nuts and washers for the head.

1400 for the 250-265cc pv's

And 1599 for the 310, 330, 350, or 370 pv's....

Wait time would probably be a week to a couple weeks depending on how busy they are.. I don't know for sure on those times, but when most people call to ask that is the time range Darren gives them.

what kinda power can i expect outta the esr motor (does anyone have the 265 pv?)? everyone out here runs duncan and lrd powervalves.

power will be close between those that you have listed. the esr is a pretty simple installation and gets my vote. i haven't run a 265pv but i have the 310 and its pretty sweet. combine the pv with the new ignition and its a handfull. IMO esr provides the most complete kit out of those listed.
