I just got done putting in the 42 pilot in the 400. Right now i am running:

42 pilot -- 3 turns out on A/F screw
DJ needle on 3rd notch from the top
Dj160 main

I have the WB R-4 slip-on, WB powerfilter & air box lid ON.

I have no exhaust leak, and everything is clamped on tight.

My problem is that when i let off the gas after WOT, it pops on decel.
It doesn't pop alot, but it is deffinitly noticeable.
Any ideas?

a little lean on the mj?:huh It will pop somewhat, but it shouldn't be a huge backfire.

go ahead and try turning it out, if that doesn't work turn it in. I think I may try te same, cause I am running a 165, and now that winter is here, mine pops a lot more. So I am gonna turn it out when I take it apart to clean, and see if that works. -Nick-

Get rid of the airbox lid and let it breathe a little more.

I think that would lean it out more causing it to pop more.

i am not too familiar with the dynojets, but you could possibly try moving the clip on the needle to the 4th position. also, you may be alittle big on the mainjet. i think dynojet recommends their 142 for a stock bike with a K&N and they recommend one size bigger if you have an exhaust. its worth a shot, sorry i am not too familiar with the jet kits. you should be good with the pilot.

Unless your elevation is very high, you have to be running extremly rich. I am running pretty much the same setup. Just an HMF slip-on. And I am running a 142 -146 MJ depending on conditions.

These are DJ too. Check your plug to see if it is black.
