WTB: 400ex motor complete

My buddy just trashed his motor, top to bottom. I don't need anything fancy but I do want one that needs no work. I want one that I can drop in and ride. No smokers please.

I am working on one right now it should be working pretty soon.
The cylinder is in good shape and so is the piston, I am going to put in a new set of rings and just break it in a little to make sure avery thing is working properly.

Thanks I saw pappy's motor. I know its a killer deal but I don't think I can quite muster that much cash right at this moment.

how trashed is the old motor, and what are his plans for it?

crank and rod need replaced along with resleeving the cylinder. I think he is gonna save up and rebuild it. Any ideas? Do you want it? What will you give me for it?

I do appreciate the offer, but I'll keep it unless I get $600 for it. I'm still not positive that the crank and rod are bad. That was just the Honda service dept blowing smoke. Piston is still in great shape. I don't feel any play in the rod, it feels nice and smooth. Its got a 440 kit with a new web cam, barnett clutches and springs. Ive also got a edelbrock quick silver flatslide that I will sell separate.
