What headlight bulbs do people use to get that really bright white light look from there car. I want a bulb that really lights up the road.

halogens. please dont use those blue coated rice bulbs... some may appear to produce a more white light, but the bulb STILL has a blue coating (filter). This filters out the yellow light.... IMO you want a bulb that does not filter out any light. I want all of it on the road.

The only real upgrade would be to increase the wattage of your bulb (risk melting the wiring harness). If you have a Ford F150 or Chevy Silverado, Sylvania makes a DOT approved HID kit. This is a very good upgrade that is legal....very $$$ though.

I've got 55/100 watt bulbs that I got from JC whitney. That way you've got the legal wattage on low beams and an extra boost on high beams. The standard "legal" wattage for high beams is 65. It helped the somewhat anemic lights on my '97 Cougar.
