Im thinking about buying a 250r after i sell my 300ex. Im only 12 so it's kinda hard for me to make money. but my question is How often do you have to rebulid a 250r" I ride about 10-15 hours a week.

it mostly depends on how hard you ride,if you maintain them...they're just as reliable as anything else,;)

i ushally rebuild my 250r like every other winter. and i ride about 2-3 times a week. i also beat the **** out of it to so i dont know how you are going to treat it. what year are you goign to get?

1 a year should be pretty good if you use good pistons (wiseco ect ect)

Get it, a new piston isnt nothin in one, not hard or too expensive, and a GREAT sport bike! Get one! ;) :cool:

I put a new piston and rings in mine about twice a year if I ride a lot.... but if I dont ride a lot, then every winter when I rebuild everything. By the way if you are look for a 250R I am selling my national quad.... It is very nice and I am selling it for very cheap $4,200 I also have a lot of exta parts. Like a bottom end, cranks, cylenders, carb., reed cages, filters, and stock parts. PM me if you want some info on it or a pix.

Thanks guys. If i can sell my freckin 300 im going to buy a local one for 3,000 dollars, it's all stock. But i ride pretty hard on at some claypits down the road from me, at the local mx tracks, and then theres a ton of tt tracks in my area. but does anybody else have any opinons?

i wouldn't get a completely stock one for $3,000.

i can get a 310R, just rebuilt, everything is being replaced right now, whole new eletrical system, axle, a-arms, shocks, 39 carb, even comes with stock 250 cylinder and top end kit. basically the whole thing is new. it's an '89 and i can get it for $2000...if i'm willing to put the plastics and wheels on, lol.
