So is the HRC cam different from XR400 cam? Does anyone know the specs on both cams? And would the HRC cam be a good choice to compliment a 440 kit? Just looking to get all my cams in one basket before doing the 440. Thanks in advance.

Yes the HRC cam is different but I have yet to find any specs on it. I just installed an HRC in my buddy's bike tonight. I rode it and noticed a little more top end. The cam is a direct drop in so you do not have to have your rockers hardened like the rest. That is why this cam is cheaper than the rest when you factor in the extra cost for hardening your current rockers. I currently have an xr cam but am thinking about trying the HRC. Anyone out there that has any specs please reply. I think Honda is keeping their specs top secret???...

Lift IN EX Duration @ .050

-EX cam .316 .302 234 238
-XR400 .326 .321 240 244
-HRC .350 .339 254 256

If I ever find the time , I'll have an adaptor made for my friend's cam reading machine. Then I can get the specs an any 400EX cam.

Megacycle also provided me with stock EX specs, I think they are actually the correct ones. The duration however, is measured by Megacycle @ .040. I'll bet the 234/238 @ .050 is correct, however.

EX cam .327 .320 236 234 @.040
