20in. rims on a t-bird

my parents have a 1996 ford thunderbird LX, and its up for sale, but they said if it doesnt sell, that they are going to keep to and give it to me as my first car. Its Pural White, and is all factory, and it has had synthetic oil run in it, since new. But i was just wondering if i would be able to put 20 inch rims front and back on the thunderbird if i got it? i think it would look pretty trick, but i want to keep it stock height....... and put 20 inch chrome rims, Borla duel exhaust, cold air intake kit, etc. on it. do u think it would look good?

20 inch rims might not look bad with say....maybe 35 inch tires...:rolleyes:

I have a 1994 t-bird. I am putting 17-8 mustang cobra wheels on it and getting a nice exhaust system and sa few other mods to make it alittle peppier.....I love t-birds.

ricing out a t-bird like that sounds like the gayest thing ever. what motor does it have? i say leave it pretty much stock even if its the turbo v-6.

I think they already have 17 inch wheels, my mom had an 88 turbo coupe for a little 4 banger it had balls!!! Her's had 17 inch wheels stock and low profile tires that were like $200 a peice. The newer ones I don't think they would look that good with bigger wheels.

it has stock 15's on it now, but i think it would look awesome decked out...it is the turbo v6..and its fast as hell..well it runs with the mustang gt..i dono if thats fast, but o well....i like it, and with it being pural white, and if i put some Kameleon Purple flames on it...:p well maybe not.. but why do u say that it would look gay??

well..i doubt im gonna be getting the thunderbird anyway..but might be a good thing..i kinda want either a ranger V6 Fx4, or somin like a 2003 Cougar

ya I forgot it was your car to choose what to do with it. Let I him be! Deal with it that people like different thinks. I personally think t-bgirds look good with ice rims and stuff. I dont think you can rice out a T-bird unless you get a giant wing and a body kit.....

I dont know how it would look but it would stay stcok height with low profile tires. If you have the money to put 20's on it why not sell the car and use the money from the car and rims and buy something else.
