DOSE THE HRC CAM AND THE XR400 CAM HAVE CLOSE TO THE SAME POWER CURVE. WILL THE XR CAM IN A 416EX {10.8.1}
BE GOOD LOW END AND TOPEND AS WELL.

they are 2 totally different cams with different power curves and a big difference in $$$$$ also.

XR400 is for low to mid power..

HRC is great from top to bottom..

Never ran either so i can't really say.

I've been told the HRC pulls all the way thru and is not labeled as a top, mid, or bottom cam,,,but all 3 together..

HRC is more expensive but probably more reliable...:devil:

I was wondering cause I have both , right now i am runing the stage two. I picked up a HRC cam and was wondering if it would be worth changing out.

If the HRC cam is new I'd leave the hotcams in and sell me the HRC for about $120...:D

I started out with a XR400 cam in my 11:1 400. It is great, plenty of bottom end and still good top. I then switched to the HRC cam and it made a HUGE difference in top end and mid range. I think on a Dyno the HRC cam would show a little less bottom end than the stock XR400 cam, HOWEVER, the HRC has much better accelleration off the bottom because it doesn't have the wheel spin the XR400 cam had. So, while the XR cam may actually have the better low end power the HRC cam has the perfect power curve that makes its low end work much better, in my oppinion.

I was thinking more like 60 bucks but if you wanna give me 120 i guess i will have to take it. LOL J/K
