Overfilled oil...problems

I put my 440 back together and had no clue how much oil it took and over filled it:rolleyes: Will it hurt anything?? It is about a 1/4 inch above the full mark. I know in a car it can airrate the oil from the crank hitting it but the EX is a dry sump system so is it okay??:confused:

When I had my 440 they told me not to overfill it because it will make my oil pump go out and not work at all. They told me it was better to be a little under than a little over.

A friend of my dad's was a Honda factory MX rider back in the day. He said even though on a CR they call for .7 quart he throws a quart in there, and it won't hurt anything. He doesn't blow up his bikes often so I assume it's ok. lol.
With a dry sump I don't know about overfilling it... Just drain a little out.
