As far as I know, the ball joints on the 300 a-arms are not repaceable without doing some custom mods to the a-arm. Only way to replace them is buy new a-arms. $$$Cha-ching$$$!!!

So how did you get the old ones off that are welded to the a-arm? And how did you mount the new ones?

Tha microfiche on Honda of Troy show it as all one piece.

330EXman: I don't know man, I thought they didn't come apart. If there's a way to replace just the boot, I don't know about it, and Honda's microfiche isn't showing it as an available part number. I'd like to hear some more from these guys that claim to have replaced them...

there is no part # but if you have some a-arms sitin arround you could swap. to get the dust boot off you need to stick a screw driver where the rubber boot meets the metal, to put it back on you need to slide it on and push it down with the screw driver.

i know i didnt.

I have A-arms shcks and tie rods for a 250r if you are interested. The bad news is tha tone of the boots is torn on them as well, however they are 86 style and the balljoints can be replaced if needed. Selling the whole thing pretty cheap, let me know

These "boots" are called dust seals. Yes, they are replaceable. The part # is 91265-HB9-671 and are can be purchased from your local Honda dealer for $2.36 each. Service Honda also carries them for $1.76 each + shipping.

330EXman, I think you owe me an apology......:p

you can replace any boot or "dust seal"

and if honda doesnt have a part number you can go to an auto parts store and buy them there,

but starks showed you they are, so your "honda factory" must be lyin to ya

that is the wrong part number-i looked it up and that part number is for the dust seal were the a arm mounts to the frame-you need the ball joint dust seal which i cannot find either-i need them for my 400. check out this link for a picture. have you found new ones yet?
