View Full Version : Changed Front Spocket

02-06-2002, 11:12 AM
Ok I changed out my front sprocket on my 300EX, to a 14 tooth sprocket, and I had to leave off the case saver will this hurt anything.

Thanks,

If it wont fit, Id recommend either trying to modify it so it does or buy an aftermarket one. They are inexpensive, specially compared to cracking a case :(

I have the same thing on mine at the moment, but I'm not going to run it that way. I'm not comfortable with the idea of going without a case saver. If you can't find one that will fit, or can't get yours modified to fit, you can try what I'm going to do and run a 13 front with 22" rear tires. Or you can go down 2 or 3 teeth on the rear sprocket to give you the same effect as going up one on the front.

Isn't it the same one as a 300ex?

Go to the Honda of Troy website and look at the online catalog. You can look up the part number for the 250x on the microfiche and then compare it to the part number of a 300ex. I bet it will be the same.
