What coil should I use with a LRD300 big bore, stock or LRD, Janssen super coil, etc... Are they any gains with an aftermarket coil? Will it affect my stock stator?? TIA, MIKE

Do you mean aftermarket CDI? I haven't heard of aftermarket coild available for the R. Nology makes a coil that is supposed to be pretty good but it's generic, not R specific. I was using the stock coil on mine with a LRD cdi and a Nology plug wire before I went to CR ignition.
With LRD's CDI they claim a 2hp gain. It doesn't affect anything adversely. I have 2 of them so if you want one PM me.

But he specifically used the term "High output". I've never heard of a "high output" CDI?:huh

If you are talking about a high output STATOR, it will not affect your engine performance, it only affects your lighting electrical system. With a high-ouput stator, you can run more lights, or higher output lights, but it won't affect your engine performance at all.

Yes there is a high output cdi like the dyna. It put out 800% more spark than stock, it has 4 programable power curves and makes a big difference in performance.

I thought I saw a Janssen super coil. Maybe I was seeing things:confused: So I guess a stock coil is the way to go:huh
