did anyone else notice a loss of top speed with their aftermarket tires? i went one inch wider in the front and rear with my shredders. i think it is because of my wide front tires, i lost top speed. i wouldn't think it would affect the top speed but only acceleration. however, i don't have as much top speed anymore. it looks like i may be buying some new lighter front tires.
I have yet to use aftermarket tires but it seems there could be some contributing factors going on in your situation.
I'm sure weight will have a role in this. Wider equals more rubber and most aftermarket tires are at least 4 ply as opposed to the stock 2 ply which adds even more weight. I'm not surre on the shredders though.
With the wider tires the is more rubber in contact with the ground which will add friction/traction. Slowing things down.
Then there is wind resistance, very minor i'm sure but it might make a difference:p
