Looking to install a cam in my 400ex and would like to know the performance difference between WB all around cam and the Hotcam stage1 & 2? A friend of mine has a WB all around cam but I would like to know how it compares to the Hotcam? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

I would go with the WB all around cam. IMO it is much better then a Hot Cam.

I had a web all round cam, not sure if it is the same as the whitebrothers but I like my stg 2 better than the web all round cam. there is more of a hit with the stg2.

SilverFox, The WEB all-around cam (450/451) is the same as the White Brothers offroad/track cam, which is very close to the HC stage 2. The White Brothers all-around cam is closer to the HC stage 1 or XR cams. That's why you feel a bigger midrange hit.
Kind of cornfusing!;)

the xr cam is not as aggressive as a stage 1 and hotcams are not regrinds!, hence the reason there is no core charge when you buy one :o

Ugly is right the Hot cam is not a reground cam it is a Billett cam like the OEM. The carb off the CRF dirtbike will take some modifications and other parts to work on your 400ex (just so you know) ;)

well if that's what your buddy told you then he obviously dosen't know is shiznit and just thinks he does :o

why get the xr400 cam it's such a mild cam it's just a hair improvement over what's already in your bike if you want your bike to actually perform i would reccomend checking into the hrc, a hotcam, web, or tc any of those cams would be more worth your time and money, stay away from the wb rev box unless you like having headaches, a rev box really isn't all the necessary but if feel the need you need one check into gt thunders new one i have yet to hear anything bad about it, but since you went with such a weak cam you won't ever have to worry bout hitting the rev limiter cause your bike will stop pulling before it ever gets there

I would try another kind of cam besides white bros. i had one in my 250x and it torqued the sproket right off and we put lock tight and everything in it to keep it steady.

You probably should do that anyways.
