300ex disks, jet, questoin (EASY!)

Just a few simple questions...briefly i just put on Mega Max2 pipe, and the jets are stage 2 k&n no lid....
The pipe turned blue, is that normal or does that mean its running lean....
To check the spark plug which colors mean what and how to fix each.
Last, the number of disks mean what?? Sound Torque, Top End, which is what!!!
Please help.....Thanks

I think blue is to rich. Orange is normal and Red is lean correct me if im wrong im new to 4 strokes on a 2 stroke all we did was a spark plug chop which i think you can do to a 4 stroke.

Spark plug check

Start up your engine warm it up with old spark plug

Install new spark plug when warm

Start up ur engine Run it WOT from 1-st to 4th

Go back take it out


and you should see colors on the part that you thread into the head

White = LEAN

BROWN GOLDISH = PERFECT

Black = RICH

Umm under the tech articles portion of the site there is a "how to read spark plugs" article if that helps you any.
For the number of disks im not sure about how to control you mid range/top end but I do know that the less disks you run the closer you are to stock flow and the more disks you run the more flow and therfor power you have, but with more disks it will run leaner, but it shouldn't be too much. If your spark plug color is off it could somewhat be adjusted by how many disks you run.
