Depends on the year. Most newer 125s are right around 32-34 at the wheel stock.

the horsepower of a kx125 is 30-33 horsepower

New kx 125's have 32, but a few year old ones are only around 28. They've come a long way recently.

r u sure 33? the yzf 250 was around 32-33 and i know that has alot more power than the average 125, the ktm had 31.2 according to motocross magazine and thats the fastest 125 2 stroke

Freeride is right... the stock 125's right now have about 30 HP... no more than that. The YZ250F has the most at about 33-34HP, but prolly closer to 33.

Ya, it's pretty nuts how these smaller engines will put out so much HP. Makes me wonder why they detune quads so much. I mean quads already lose enough power having to turn 2 wide tires and pushing all the extra weight, so why do the factories feel the need to just rob it of another 5-10 HP? Oh well... things seem to be looking up for the quad racers :) .

Ofcourse, these are just ballpark numbers. Different dyno's will give different numbers.

Edit: I think I read somewhere that the KX 125's actually have the lowest HP numbers out of all the 125's (I'm pretty sure that the KX 125's and RM 125's are not the same) but they have good smooth, easy to ride power. On the track, more HP isn't always a good thing. You will hear countless people tell you that they can ride 250F's faster than they can 450F's because the 250's are easier to ride and control in the corners (probably the most important part of racing). So don't think low HP is a bad thing, the KX's are really nice, easy to ride bikes.
