ive been hitting a bunch of jumps lately and it seems like almost everytime i do my front end dips and almost throws me off the bike. luckily i havnt blown any tires. i have my suspension set very soft for most of the rocky trails around here. does having the suspension set soft cause that to happen?

Sounds like you have your rebound set to fast. If you have to fight your ride over all the jumps you can effect the way it launches buy adjusting the rebound. To much, You will be nose heavy, not enough, The front end wants to go to the sky. It could be you jumping technique but suspension plays a big part of it. You shouldnt have to fight your ride!
