Anyone ever had this???
My bike has many many hours on it, and finally i am getting a VERY faint kind of rubbing noise when in third gear only. I can only hear it when I am on the throttle lightly (any more gas, and the exhaust drowns it out) i noticed the sound almost 6 months ago in a mexico race, and never opened it up to look...it is slowly getting worse...i assume whatever bearing 3rd gear is on is smoked....going to be a pain to replace probably a 5 dollar bearing!! anyone ever opened up the gear box on a 400 for this reason?? i have 2 more races to get out of the motor before i want to tear it down for a total rebuild....i just hope nothing explodes in there and sends scrapnel everywhere..........
