Any one know if it will fit n the 400? And how much will it cost? I want to lighten up my quad.

Weather it fits or not, I would assume judging from the pics that the construction of the 450 swinger is very close to the 400. Given that the weight savings would be minimal at best.

what he is saying airbourne that your stocker IS aluminum already and if you compare the two they look totally identical. I have and aftermarket Leager and I like it but I cant ignore the obvious that it was heavier. Same for after market bearing carriers. Heavier. Stronger sure, but is it necessary? I'm hoping to be able to stick with the stock rear end on the new 450. later

Oh:huh :D

Has anyone polished the stock a-arm with any success?

You can polish the stock swing arm, but it takes a lot of upkeep. I ride in sand mostly and my pretty polished wheels need to be re-polished every season.
My family has a shop and we build a-arms, swingarms and steering stems and in most cases the aftermarket ones are a little heavier than stock aluminum. Sorry for the confusion on my first post.

Thanks MrBlue, I guess I will have to take down the surface of the swingarm about an 8th of an inch in order to get a flat surface to work with. I bet it will look rad.
