Best cam to run with 440?

Whats the best cam to run with a 440 kit? Just curious. Want to do the 440 kit but haven't read much anywhere about which cam would work best with it. Thanks in advance.

Are you looking for a drop in cam or do you want a more high rev agressive cam that you might have to hard face the rockers and valve springs?

Looking for a drop in. Will the XR cam work well with the 440 kit? Looking for something more agressive with good mid to top end. Didn't know if the XR cam would be enough. Thanks.

You will be dissapointed with the XR cam in a 440. A GT Thunder cam would be a better choice.

If you want mid and top end get the White Bros track/race cam. I have that in mine and love it. I can tell instantly when it kicks in. I did not harden the rockers and have not had a problem. I have had it for over a year now. I would recommend the spring kit. ;)

i'm stuck between getting a gt thunder cam or a tc racing 936 xc grind cam for my 440. They are both drop in's. The tc is 185 and the gt is 150. I know tc takes your core and i kinda wanta to keep it so i could have all the stock parts.

and what would the specs be on a torqueY cam.

like duration and lift, is what i'm asking.

Does not have to be drop in....i'm just curious.
