Well, I'm thinking about getting a little dirtbike. My husband's is too tall for me, so I'm thinking about a ttr 125 or a kx80. the crf150 is nice, but it's more than the 125 and they are pretty new, so I don't think I'll be able to find a cheap used one. I don't want to really switch over to that side, I just wanna learn so I'm going for the least $$$ as possible. Any other ideas? Or anyone local selling? I saw a kx80 for sale on here but It's back in Pittsburgh. Thanks guys.

I know several women who ride the Kaw 100s, they seem to be a good size... you are much braver than me. i cant even ride a BMX bike without crashing all the time. Im much better on 4 wheels than I am on 2!

Aw he11, just go all out and get yourself a YZF 450... they're only 39 + inches at the seat, have about 55 HP stock, and only weigh 220 lbs.

:p J/p... How tall are you and what kind of bike does your husband have?

55 eh? Last I checked it was just over 45..

How tall are you stace? The KX100/RM100 is a great bike for beginners because it's power delivery is very mild for a 2 stroke. It doesn't hit as hard as a 128 or 80, but has about the peak HP of an 80 (around 21 or 22). In my organization most of the womens class races KX100s.

I'm about 5'5. My husband's is only a crf230 and I can't even reach. lol. Here are the prices on some smaller bikes. Does the price on the ttr125l seem fair? That really is out the door, so I think that's the best I'm gonna do.

my husband suggested the xr100, i know the ttr125l is a little taller so I'm gonna go sit n them both and see how they feel. if the xr is comfortable i probably will go with that. i just don't want that mini bike feel.

Have you looked at the CRF150F? The XR100 is a great beginner bike, and fun to ride no matter what. The TTR125L is basically a slightly glorified XR100 - about the same power, a little stiffer suspension, and slightly better breaks, but it is heavier. You should be happy with any of these bikes.

I went to our honda dealer and the yamaha dealer last night. i think I'll end up getting the xr100. the crf150 was like the perfect sitting there, but it's a little tougher in the sand, uneven ground etc. so the 100 is probably better. plus a grand less. the other one i liked was the klx 125 (our honda place has honda kawasaki, and suzuki) but i can't get kawasaki from the cheap place. thanks everyone.

You know Ricky Carmicheal is only 5'5, or 5'4  .

If you definitly need something smaller, I would go with the YZ85. Those things are awesome!
