This carb has no accelerator pump, which will cause a large hessitation off the bottom. it is also too large to fit in the stock location it will have to be mounted at an angle.
I think I would have to suggest you save your money.

they stick WFO, they have to be installed half arse, you have to move your airbox forward 1 inch, they need to be takin apart and cleaned once a month, the list goes on and on.. Good power increase but dangerous I think..

id have to disagree with all of you...i really like my lectron...if you know how to maintain it then it wont stick WFO. i take mothers polish and polish the slide and it works perfect. not every month. also the power increase was great...i pulled the holeshot this weekend against jrd crfs. and about turning it a little bit to fit...big deal..if its gettin me first places ill turn it upside down.

just my .02 but

They are ok if you get everything to work exactly how it is supposed to, which isnt easy to do. I would just look around a little more, and see if you can get a good deal on a fcr. ;)

I'd say it must mean that he doesn't know about FCR carbs that are being used by almost every other company in the US...:D

id think my friend was winning in pro am points until his crash....id think he must know what he was talkin about when he built his and my bike...id think id take his advice over some1 who probably has no experience with the carb besides "i heard" i also know several kids from east coast atv....the tait boys who have lectron carb. i dont know but id think your wrong when east coast and lost creek cycles both run em on 400s. but hey thats just what id think

Get enough people in a room and someone will like and recommend their Ford Pinto as an excellent mode of transportation. ;)

That's funny :)

While I do love my old 250R (you'll find very few people who actually owned them that didn't) - You'll find me racing my EX, pulling holeshots and winning races with my FCR. The great thing is it idles reliably, starts more easily that stock, has a shorter throttle pull than stock (not longer like a Lectron), doesn't leak fuel, doesn't require constant cleaning, and doesn't require a lot of "jerry rigging" to get it on the quad properly

I guess someone better tell Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, KTM, etc about the attributes of the Lectron since they all use the FCR as their OEM carb on their high performance 4 strokes - ever hear of someone with a CRF450R, a DRZ400, a YZ450F, a 525MXC switch out their FCR for a lectron to gain performance, rideability, or anything else?

I like TC, but the FCR is the best carb made. All top 4 stroke bikes use them, and even the YFZ450 has one.
